ALTA - The Academic Language Therapy Association® (ALTA) is a non-profit national professional organization incorporated in 1986 for the purpose of establishing, maintaining, and promoting standards of education, practice and professional conduct for Certified Academic Language Therapists.

American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) - ASHA is the professional and scientific association for more than 91,000 speech-language pathologists, audiologists, and speech, language, and hearing scientists in the United States and internationally.

AskERIC Virtual Library - ERIC is a personalized Internet-based service providing education information to teachers, librarians, counselors, administrators, parents, and others internationally.

Center for Accessible Technology - Information to assist in decision-making about computers and adaptive technology for learning disabled students in the home or school.

Closing the Gap - Bi-monthly newsletter on the use of computer technology by persons with disabilities.

Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) - CEC's home page provides information to teachers and other service providers about special education issues for students with disabilities, and/or the gifted.
Department of Education - Broad topics and resources on education, special education, learning disabilities.

Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund (DREDF) - Legal support and advocacy to bring about additional changes and affect policies which prevent people with disabilities from participating in the mainstream.

Family Village's Inclusive Education Resources - Information about a broad range of disabilities and medical conditions, including LD, ADHD and dyslexia. The site offers information about inclusive education, IEPS, opportunities for parents to connect with others with similar interests and concerns, and more.

International Dyslexia Association - National, nonprofit organization dedicated to the study and treatment of dyslexia. The web site offers information about the Society, dyslexia, current research, technology, legislative issues, conferences, and more.

Learning Disabilities Association of America (LDA) - A national nonprofit organization devoted to advancing the education & general welfare of persons with learning disabilities. LDA's Online includes bulletins, fact sheets & other resources, information about many publications available for purchase, links to state chapters.

National Center for Learning Disabilities, Inc. (NCLD) - National, nonprofit organization, which raises public awareness, advocates for legislation and services for students with disabilities, and provides information, resources, and programs.

Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D) - National nonprofit service organization which loans recorded and computerized books at a fee to eligible persons with visual, physical, or specific learning disabilities that substantially limit reading. This site provides details on their services, technology updates, and more.
